AI Trainer Image QA Evaluator

iMerit Technology is a global AI data solutions company that helps train and improve machine learning models across various industries. They work with teams worldwide to ensure AI systems perform accurately by leveraging human expertise for quality evaluation and training data preparation.

This role focuses on evaluating images for AI training purposes. You'll be based in South Korea and work as an independent contractor on project-based assignments, reviewing visual content and flagging quality issues that impact AI performance.

Your core responsibilities include assessing images against detailed project guidelines, spotting technical problems like blur, poor lighting, noise, exposure, and compression artifacts. You'll evaluate visual content with specific awareness of South Korean cultural context and everyday life—this local perspective is key to the role. You'll also describe and interpret images accurately in English, maintain consistent high-quality output, and alert the project team when you encounter unusual cases or data-quality concerns.

To be considered, you must currently live in South Korea and have spent several years there with deep familiarity of the local culture and context. Nationality doesn't matter; what matters is your lived experience in the country. You'll need to be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in South Korea and have a South Korean bank account in your own name for payments. English proficiency at C1 level or higher is essential, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex guidelines closely. You'll need a laptop or desktop computer and dependable internet connectivity.

Prior experience in AI training, data annotation, transcription, quality assurance, or content evaluation is helpful but not required. What really counts is your ability to catch visual quality issues and your understanding of South Korean context.
