About the role
Anthropic is building AI systems that are safe, reliable, and beneficial for society. The company brings together researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders focused on creating AI that aligns with human values. As Commercial Operations Program Manager, you'll design and execute the operational systems that allow Anthropic's commercial growth to scale without losing momentum.
This is a strategic role within Anthropic's Product Management, Support, and Operations team. You'll own the infrastructure that transforms how the company launches products and manages commercial readiness. The position bridges product velocity with operational excellence, requiring someone who can think systemically about twelve-month roadmaps while also building and implementing the day-to-day processes that make launches happen smoothly.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end commercial launches by managing intake and scoping, translating product requirements into commercial readiness specifications around pricing, billing, tax, compliance, and go-to-market activities, and collaborating with product teams on launch paths
- Own the commercial launch program itself, evolving the current motion into a scalable, instrumented process that keeps pace with an accelerating product roadmap
- Identify bottlenecks in launch processes and drive cross-functional resolution by proposing system and process changes, clarifying ownership, and ensuring completion across Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and GTM teams
- Design program components including launch tiering frameworks, readiness criteria, playbooks, templates, SLAs, and training materials that shift the program from a late-stage gatekeeper to an early-stage strategic partner
- Build measurement and visibility systems such as instrumentation dashboards, readiness scorecards, throughput metrics, and cycle-time tracking to inform continuous improvement
- Partner with Engineering and systems teams on workflow automation, intake systems, approval processes, and status tracking tools
What you'll bring
- Ten or more years in operations roles, with demonstrated success in billing, payments, or commercial operations, preferably in high-volume SaaS environments
- Hands-on experience building and running new product introduction processes and launch frameworks
- Deep knowledge of billing systems, subscription management platforms, and payments infrastructure
- Proven ability to build and scale operational programs in high-growth settings, taking capabilities from zero to one and then beyond
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to quantify ROI on operational improvements
- Experience leading automation initiatives and working with engineering teams to develop operational tooling
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder influence skills, particularly across GTM, Finance, Product, and Engineering
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while balancing competing priorities
- Willingness to contribute hands-on operational work while also providing leadership
Nice to have
- Experience launching products across new pricing models or geographies
What they offer
- Annual salary of 190,000 USD
- Hybrid work arrangement with expectation of office presence at least 25% of the time at New York City, San Francisco, or Seattle locations
- Visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates
