Manual QA Tester – (India)

Welo Data is seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to validate frontend functionality across complex web onboarding workflows. You'll execute test cases with precision, document findings thoroughly, and ensure form behavior works flawlessly across browsers and devices. This is a remote contractor role based in India, running for three weeks at 40 hours per week, starting October 19.

What you'll do

• Execute test cases according to documented runbooks without skipping or modifying steps, ensuring strict adherence to defined procedures
• Perform cross-browser UI testing to validate layout, functionality, and boundary conditions across supported browsers and devices
• Validate client-side form field rules including character-length limits, regex-style format validation, and required-field enforcement across text fields, dropdowns, radio buttons, and other inputs
• Verify UI state behavior resulting from validation outcomes, such as error banners appearing on invalid input or action buttons remaining disabled until all fields pass validation
• Identify, capture, and log DOM-level screenshots and error states with clear, reproducible documentation that supports defect tracking
• Execute structured walkthroughs across defined onboarding personas and document observed UI constraints, field limits, conditional states, and decision points
• Consolidate findings into a structured frontend constraint dictionary and evidence set for downstream analysis and validation
• Escalate boundary and edge-case failures to senior QA and development teams with sufficient supporting detail

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in manual QA testing with a focus on frontend and UI environments involving multi-field forms
• Demonstrated ability to follow and execute structured test runbooks with precision
• Hands-on experience with cross-browser testing tools and techniques such as BrowserStack and native browser developer tools
• Working knowledge of DOM structure and browser developer tools for inspecting and capturing error states
• Familiarity with client-side validation concepts including field length limits, format and regex validation, and conditional UI states
• Strong attention to detail with disciplined documentation habits
• Good written communication skills for clear, reproducible bug reporting and structured evidence production

Nice to have

• Experience testing complex onboarding, registration, account-creation, or other multi-step workflows
• Understanding of UI and UX boundary conditions and how they manifest as defects
