Senior QA Analyst (Frontend) – (India)

The company connects a diverse global community to meaningful work that shapes how AI develops. They're hiring a Senior QA Analyst to lead quality assurance on a critical multi-step web onboarding workflow, bridging frontend and middleware testing.

You'll own the quality side of this project by designing exploratory test strategies that go beyond scripted checks. Your work involves applying structured techniques like equivalence partitioning and boundary testing to validate how form inputs behave across submission states and workflow progression. You'll review test evidence from junior testers, translate what you observe into a validated state machine model, and document decision forks, persona-specific behavior, and edge cases that matter.

Key responsibilities include

• Execute advanced exploratory testing to find issues missed by standard test cases, especially around form validation and submission behavior
• Apply boundary testing to catch edge-case failures in frontend input handling and the middleware consuming that data
• Design efficient test cases using equivalence partitioning across valid, invalid, and edge-case input classes
• Validate application behavior against state models, confirming correct step progression and state transitions under expected and unexpected conditions
• Lead defect triage, prioritize by severity and impact, partner with developers on root causes and fix validation
• Mentor junior QA testers on exploratory and structured test design approaches
• Formalize and maintain the frontend state-transition model based on observed behavior, including decision forks and boundary conditions
• Produce a validated evidence package for handoff to the Middleware SDET team

You bring 3-5+ years as a QA Analyst with exposure to both frontend and middleware systems. You're skilled in exploratory and boundary testing, know how to apply equivalence partitioning and formal test design techniques, and understand state-machine concepts for validating multi-step systems. You have strong defect triage experience with severity and priority classification. You've tested complex onboarding systems, registration flows, or account-creation processes. You can translate observed behavior into structured state-transition models and use browser and network developer tools effectively.

This is a contractor role based in India, remote. Starting October 19, it's a 4-week commitment at 40 hours per week with a rate of USD 6 per hour. Performance may lead to full-time employment.
