Associate, Private Equity/Venture Capital

The Fund Services team is hiring an Associate to support the accounting and administration of private equity and venture capital funds. You'll work with a fully remote, globally distributed team of professionals from blockchain and financial services, backed by major investors like BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, Coinbase, and Banco Santander.

What you'll do

• Maintain accounting data and prepare deliverables for 10-20 concurrent client engagements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Reconcile portfolio and cash activity against source documentation and verify all client submissions meet compliance standards
• Accrue fund expenses in accordance with GAAP and book investor fees and allocations correctly
• Generate quarterly net asset value reports, capital call and distribution calculations for your assigned funds
• Draft annual financial statements and coordinate year-end audits between clients and independent auditors
• Work with the treasury team to process wire transfers and handle daily client communications
• Track time logs efficiently, identify operational inefficiencies, and communicate challenges to leadership
• Demonstrate professionalism and integrity across all client and internal team interactions

What you'll bring

• At least 3 years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or similar roles focused on closed-end private investment funds
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach to client relationships
• Practical hands-on experience working with cryptocurrency assets
• Ability to maintain accurate records and work to strict timelines

Nice to have

• CPA, CFA, or MBA credential
• Background in both traditional finance and digital asset markets
