Onboarding - Onboarding Associate

B2C2 is a global institutional liquidity provider for digital assets, founded in 2015 and headquartered in London with offices across Paris, Jersey City, Tokyo, Singapore, and Luxembourg. The company delivers around-the-clock pricing for spot, futures, options, CFDs, and NDFs across all market conditions, serving brokerages, exchanges, banks, fund managers, and other institutions. This Onboarding Associate role sits within the Compliance team in Lisbon and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-growing firm bridging traditional finance and crypto markets.

What you'll do

• Manage client and counterparty KYC and onboarding processes, including initial assessments, periodic reviews, and ad-hoc updates across the organization

• Coordinate KYC activities across multiple internal teams including Front Office, Compliance, AML, Operations, Legal, and Risk in time-sensitive, high-pressure situations

• Review legal agreements, financial documents, and supporting paperwork to verify completeness and accuracy

• Assess and assign risk classifications to new and existing clients, adjusting KYC profiles when business activities expand or risk factors shift

• Conduct recertifications and refresh due diligence on current clients to identify changes in risk profile, including reputational and operational considerations

• Monitor client maintenance activities and banking inquiries, completing departmental requests within established timeframes

• Contribute to testing and refinement of due diligence databases, reporting systems, and onboarding applications

What you'll bring

• Hands-on experience with KYC processes and client onboarding operations

• Working knowledge of due diligence systems and onboarding platforms

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management, front office, sales, compliance, legal, and audit teams

• Excellent organizational abilities and multitasking capacity in high-pressure environments while maintaining composure

• Solid research and analysis skills with proficiency in external due diligence tools

• Proficiency with Google Workspace products and interest in AI-driven process improvements

• Self-motivated approach with the ability to receive direction and execute quickly

• Balanced perspective that combines compliance rigor with commercial awareness in a revenue-focused, risk-controlled setting
