About the role
Crypto.com is a leading digital-asset platform serving retail, private, and institutional traders globally. Founded to accelerate cryptocurrency adoption worldwide, the company operates regulated trading venues across multiple jurisdictions and has built deep expertise in compliance, banking infrastructure, and scaled fintech operations.
This is a central product leadership position within Crypto.com's regulated trading division. You'll own the fiat strategy for the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) platform and the CFTC/NFA-regulated US trading business — the money-movement backbone that enables customers to fund and withdraw instantly, compliantly, and reliably. FCM is a top growth priority, but your scope extends further: you'll shape the banking-rail strategy across markets and currencies, decide which payment corridors and banking partners Crypto.com uses, oversee customer fund segregation and settlement, and drive the mechanics of how capital moves in and out of the platform. You carry direct accountability for Total Funds Flow, acceptance rates, settlement speed, and cost-per-transaction.
What you'll do
- Own the complete fiat funding and withdrawal experience for FCM, managing customer fund segregation, margin funding flows, and the data infrastructure behind daily segregation reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate and integrate payment rails — ACH, FedWire, FedNow/RTP in the US, SEPA/SEPA Instant/FPS across EU and other schemes — based on speed, reversibility, and cost as the platform expands.
- Lead bank partnership assessments, commercial negotiations, and technical integrations for direct banking relationships supporting regulated trading entities; secure preferential rates, dedicated service levels, segregated-account structures, and custom solutions including specialized charters like SPDI where relevant.
- Build and optimize payment infrastructure across geographies, extending FCM funding capabilities to new markets while maximizing rail coverage and uptime.
- Design and own a dynamic routing engine that selects the optimal rail in real time based on user segment, jurisdiction, currency, speed, and risk profile.
- Develop compliant, scalable fiat onboarding for institutional trading clients, including segregated bank accounts, high-value wire processing, and bulk payout APIs.
What you'll bring
- 7+ years in product leadership with at least 7 years focused on payment infrastructure, core banking, or regulated trading and brokerage products.
- Direct hands-on experience at a CFTC/NFA-regulated FCM, futures broker, or regulated trading platform; deep familiarity with customer fund segregation, margin funding, and regulatory fund-handling obligations.
- Strong knowledge of payment rails across multiple markets — US (ACH, FedWire, FedNow/RTP) and ideally EU (SEPA, SEPA Instant) — including settlement timing, reversibility, and their trade-offs for regulated trading.
- Proven track record building and scaling payment rails in high-volume, real-time environments, including experience with payment orchestration and dynamic routing in production.
- Direct bank integration experience (not white-label PSP solutions) and commercial partnership negotiation; exposure to specialized banking charters is a strong plus.
- Technical acumen across complex APIs, data flows, payment-protocol integrations, and core banking platforms.
- Ability to work across APAC, EU, and US time zones and lead globally distributed teams effectively.
- Strong people management with demonstrated success developing high-performing teams and holding a high bar for quality.
Nice to have
- Hands-on exposure to payment schemes like SWIFT and FPS.
- Experience building fiat solutions for institutional clients at scale.
What we offer
- Competitive salary with 401(k) plan including employer match.
- Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life/disability insurance coverage plus birthday and work-anniversary leave.
- Hybrid arrangement with flexible working hours across Chicago, Malta, and Singapore offices.
- Internal mobility program supporting career development and diverse role opportunities.
Pay, location & hours
