Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect -AI&ML Engineer

As a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect focused on AI and ML, you'll be the go-to technical expert guiding enterprise customers through production-grade AI and ML implementations on Databricks' platform. You'll combine deep technical expertise with customer advocacy, helping strategic accounts architect sophisticated AI solutions while strengthening the broader Field Engineering organization through mentorship and technical leadership.

What you'll do

• Design and architect production-level ML and AI workloads on the Databricks platform, spanning agents, end-to-end ML pipelines, training and inference optimization, cloud-native service integration, and MLOps practices

• Lead enterprise GenAI solution architectures including RAG systems, agentic frameworks with tool-calling and multi-agent orchestration, guardrails implementation, natural language querying of structured data, and AI evaluation and observability

• Build, scale, and optimize customer AI workloads while applying MLOps best practices to productionize solutions across diverse business domains

• Provide advanced technical guidance to Solution Architects during the sales process, covering feature engineering, model training, experiment tracking, model serving, and monitoring within the unified platform

• Work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to represent customer needs, help shape product priorities, and accelerate adoption of Databricks' AI capabilities

What you'll bring

• 7+ years of hands-on ML industry experience as either an ML Engineer (building and maintaining production cloud infrastructure for ML deployment with drift monitoring) or AI Engineer (working with LLMs, agentic systems, vector databases, fine-tuning, AI guardrails, and tools like HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI)

• Solid foundation in data engineering concepts and their practical application

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and teach technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Strong collaborative mindset with genuine commitment to continuous learning and driving business value through ML and AI solutions

• Ability to meet technical training expectations and role-specific milestones within your first three months

Nice to have

• 5+ years of customer-facing experience in pre-sales or post-sales environments
