You'll join Anthropic's Applied AI team as a pre-sales architect, taking on a central role in helping large enterprises discover how Claude can solve their most complex challenges. You'll pair deep technical expertise with customer-facing judgment to design LLM solutions that work within existing systems while meeting rigorous safety requirements. Your core mission is becoming a trusted technical advisor who guides organizations from initial exploration through successful deployment, working across offices in Tokyo, Sydney, Bangalore, Seoul and two additional cities.

What you'll do

• Work with sales teams across your region to translate enterprise customer needs into sound technical solutions that align business goals with implementation reality

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise clients throughout their Claude adoption cycle, coordinating across internal teams to ensure customer success

• Support organizations building with both the Claude API and Claude for Work

• Create and deliver technical presentations adapted to different audiences, ranging from hands-on engineering sessions to executive-level business impact discussions

• Guide customers through technical architecture decisions and help integrate Claude into their existing systems

• Partner with customers to build evaluation frameworks that measure Claude's performance against their specific requirements

• Observe implementation patterns across customers and feed learnings back to Product and Engineering

• Travel occasionally to customer sites for technical workshops and relationship development

• Stay current with advances in LLM capabilities and how teams are deploying them

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in technical customer-facing positions such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager

• Native fluency in Japanese and business-level English proficiency

• Track record working with enterprise customers through complex sales cycles with multiple decision-makers

• Ability to build strong relationships and explain technical concepts clearly to C-suite executives, engineering teams, IT departments, and other stakeholder groups

• Exceptional skill translating customer needs between business and technical languages

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience and training in a field relevant to the role

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in related positions

• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems

• Python proficiency

• Familiarity with LLM frameworks and tools, or background in machine learning or data science
