Roles on our board in Seoul
Good to know
- Employees pay national pension (4.75% in 2026, up to a monthly income ceiling), health insurance (3.595%), long-term care (0.47%) and employment insurance (0.9%). Your employer pays about the same again.
- Income tax uses the year-end settlement (연말정산) rules: earned income deduction, the ₩1.5 million basic deduction, pension and insurance deductions, and the earned income tax credit. Local income tax adds 10% of the income tax.
- Single with no dependents. Credit card, housing, medical, education and other deductions are not included, so most people pay a little less.
- Foreign workers may be able to choose a flat-rate tax option instead of these rates. It is not included here; check it with your employer or a tax adviser.
- Tax year. Income earned in 2026 (year-end settlement in early 2027).
