Blockchain Solutions Architect

This Blockchain Solutions Architect role bridges sales, product, and engineering to drive enterprise adoption of Optimism. You'll be the primary technical partner for institutional clients—banks, asset managers, exchanges, and system integrators—guiding them through evaluations, pilots, and production deployments on the OP Stack.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery and diligence sessions with enterprise partners, covering architecture, performance, security, compliance, and operational requirements
• Design and manage test environments including devnets and performance benchmarks to validate throughput, latency, and cost assumptions for production systems
• Act as the key technical contact during deal execution, from initial evaluation through integration into live environments
• Translate institutional requirements into actionable product feedback and roadmap priorities for OP Labs' engineering teams
• Guide partners through OP Stack architecture, deployment models, and production best practices, including migration from private to public or hybrid environments
• Support integrations with wallets, custody solutions, cloud infrastructure, and system integrators like Fireblocks and AWS

What you'll bring

• Five or more years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical pre-sales
• Deep knowledge of blockchain infrastructure, distributed systems, or financial infrastructure; hands-on experience with Ethereum, Layer 1, or Layer 2 systems required
• Strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals: sequencing, finality, rollups, smart contracts, network operations, and production deployment tradeoffs
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
• Strategic mindset for mapping fintech value chains and building compelling partnerships; comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving market
• High agency and deal-closing ability; experience working directly with C-level executives and managing multi-party partnerships
• Low ego, execution-focused approach; collaborative across functions but capable of moving independently

Nice to have

• Background working with regulated institutions such as banks, asset managers, or payments firms
• Experience building GTM strategies and partner programs from the ground up
