Deployed Engineer, Professional Services (APAC)

You'll join LangChain's Customer Engineering team as a Deployed Engineer, working directly with enterprise organizations to architect, build, and deploy reliable agent systems. In this role, you'll move fluidly between advisory work, hands-on co-building, and extended embedded engagements where you operate as part of the customer's team. Your work spans the full agent development lifecycle: designing system architecture, building evaluation frameworks, implementing orchestration patterns, handling production deployment, and optimizing model performance through techniques like fine-tuning and trace analysis.

What you'll do

• Advise enterprise customers on agent architecture design, evaluation strategies, and production best practices
• Co-build agent systems with customer engineering teams across the complete agent development lifecycle in outcome-focused projects
• Embed within customer organizations for longer engagements, operating as a de facto team member shipping agent systems alongside their engineers
• Design and implement end-to-end agent engineering solutions including multi-agent patterns, state management, custom conversational interfaces, and deployment pipelines
• Apply advanced AI techniques including model selection, supervised fine-tuning, harness engineering, and trace mining for continuous improvement
• Travel up to 20% of the time to customer sites for alignment and collaboration

What you'll bring

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with deep Python expertise, with TypeScript or JavaScript as a bonus
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping production agent systems in real-world environments
• Strong experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Deep Agents, or comparable frameworks, including multi-agent patterns and memory management
• Deep familiarity designing and validating evaluation methodologies for non-deterministic AI systems
• Ability to confidently articulate architectural decisions to technical stakeholders including engineers, architects, and CTOs
• Comfort operating across the full spectrum from advisory consulting to hands-on embedded delivery

Nice to have

• Exposure to dataset curation and post-training techniques such as supervised fine-tuning, DPO, or RLHF using tools like Axolotl, Unsloth, Hugging Face transformers, or TRL
• Experience using trace mining to identify and drive continuous improvement loops
