Director, Electronic Trading

This role leads the creation and expansion of FalconX's electronic trading sales function. You will establish the go-to-market strategy, define which client segments to pursue, set pricing frameworks, and determine how coverage operates. Your success means building this division from the ground up into a significant revenue driver for the firm.

What you'll do

• Establish the Electronic Trading Sales division, including strategy, target segments, pricing models, and the coverage approach that will define how FalconX sells to electronic clients.

• Migrate your existing relationships with electronic and algorithmic trading clients to FalconX, then identify and win new clients across spot, derivatives, FX, and financing products.

• Manage client onboarding through KYC, credit approval, and technical integration, then work to expand their trading activity and wallet share over time.

• Translate client requirements and feedback into product development priorities, influencing which venues, order types, and connectivity features the engineering team builds.

• Collaborate with Trading and Risk teams on pricing structures, exposure limits, credit terms, and capacity management to ensure profitable and controlled growth.

• Monitor competitive positioning, market structure changes, and regulatory developments, sharing insights with senior leadership.

• Serve as a company representative at industry events, conferences, and client forums.

What you'll bring

• A minimum of ten years in electronic trading sales at a bank, broker-dealer, prime broker, exchange, or trading venue, with a focus on electronic and algorithmic client coverage.

• An established portfolio of relationships with institutional electronic trading clients and the credibility to bring meaningful trading flow to FalconX.

• A proven track record building a sales desk, launching a new product line, or establishing a coverage model.

• Technical depth in FIX and API connectivity, latency optimization, execution quality metrics, transaction cost analysis, and market microstructure.

• Existing relationships within hedge funds, quantitative funds, market makers, and proprietary trading firms.

• Leadership capability and willingness to recruit, mentor, and manage a team.

• Sound judgment on pricing, credit risk, and how sales decisions impact profitability.

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the presence to engage C-suite and senior trading executives.

• The ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity in a fast-paced, always-on trading environment.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in crypto or digital asset markets, including spot trading, perpetuals, futures, and options.

• Background in prime brokerage, financing products, or portfolio margining.

• An international client network spanning EMEA and APAC regions.
