Head of Events

Token2049 is a leading global conference platform that brings together the Web3 and AI communities for flagship industry events. They're expanding their event operations and looking for an experienced Head of Events to oversee the planning and delivery of large-scale conferences, including TOKEN2049 and SuperAI, along with AFTER 2049, their multi-day side event series. You'll be the operational backbone of these world-class events, coordinating across sponsorship, production, and experience teams to ensure flawless execution.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of TOKEN2049, SuperAI, and related conferences, managing timelines, operational plans, and delivery schedules from concept through post-event wrap-up.
• Serve as primary point of contact for production agencies and vendors including staging, AV, fabrication, design, and technical suppliers, handling venue logistics, floorplans, build schedules, and technical production oversight.
• Oversee AFTER 2049, the multi-day curated side event series surrounding TOKEN2049, coordinating venues, vendors, partners, and internal teams across multiple simultaneous locations to maintain consistent quality and operational standards.
• Collaborate with Sponsorship, Experience, Marketing, and Operations teams to execute sponsor activations and event programming to the highest standard, coordinating requirements from sponsor through onsite delivery.
• Develop and manage comprehensive event budgets, tracking costs and identifying efficiencies while maintaining production quality.
• Lead onsite operations during event week, coordinating teams, vendors, and agencies to handle real-time challenges and ensure attendee experience across all touchpoints.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years delivering large-scale conferences, exhibitions, or global events with thousands of attendees.
• Proven ability managing complex event logistics with production agencies, AV teams, and multiple vendors.
• Strong experience coordinating across internal teams including sponsorship, marketing, and operations.
• Exceptional project management, organizational skills, and vendor negotiation experience.
• Comfort operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and willingness to travel internationally and be onsite during events.
