Anthropic is seeking a Program Manager to design and deliver the live onboarding experience for new hires joining the San Francisco office, ensuring each cohort receives a welcoming, well-run introduction grounded in the company's distinctive values.
What you'll do
- Execute weekly onboarding cohorts from pre-arrival preparation through program completion, maintaining consistency and quality across all new hire groups regardless of size or timing
- Facilitate live sessions as the primary host, setting the tone for new employees, keeping programming on schedule, and delivering clear messaging throughout each day
- Prepare speakers, panelists, and backup facilitators by providing briefs, feedback, and support so content lands effectively regardless of who presents
- Coordinate across multiple teams including Recruiting, People Services, Workplace, IT, and audiovisual support to ensure devices, spaces, catering, and communications align with each cohort's schedule
- Build and maintain weekly operating rhythms, prioritizing logistics and coordination tasks to prevent gaps or oversights
- Develop and refine operating documents, checklists, playbooks, and workflow automations that make the program repeatable, scalable, and resilient to staffing changes
- Monitor program health through new hire feedback and operational metrics, identifying trends and friction points that inform future improvements
- Anticipate variables like cohort size fluctuations, holidays, and space constraints, creating contingency plans before issues arise
What you'll bring
- Deep familiarity with Anthropic's mission and genuine interest in helping new hires connect their work to the company's purpose
- Proven track record managing end-to-end delivery of recurring programs, events, or training initiatives with multiple stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and present effectively to large groups in person and online
- Strong project management capabilities using Google Workspace tools or similar platforms to build timelines, trackers, and checklists
- Proficiency with Slack and Google Workspace applications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across audiences from new hires to senior leadership
- Ability to coordinate across teams without direct authority while meeting fixed, recurring deadlines
Nice to have
- Experience running onboarding, orientation, or learning and development programs within fast-growing organizations
- Track record scaling program delivery from lower to higher frequency while preserving quality
- Familiarity with AI tools like Claude for building workflows and reducing manual work
- Experience with program measurement tools such as Qualtrics, feedback analysis, and metrics reporting
- Background managing networks of presenters, facilitators, or volunteer contributors
What they offer
- Annual salary of 240,000 USD
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring presence in the San Francisco office at least two days per week on all programming days and as needed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required
