About the role
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling traders to express views on real-world events across politics, economics, sports, culture and current affairs. The platform operated as a peer-to-peer marketplace that aggregated diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities. In 2025, Polymarket processed over 21 billion dollars in trading volume and continues to grow as both a marketplace and alternative news source.
The Trust and Safety team at Polymarket protects the platform, keeps users safe and builds confidence with regulators and the public. Polymarket operates as a CFTC-regulated exchange alongside a DeFi platform, meaning every product launch and user protection measure must withstand scrutiny from traders, regulators and the broader community. This Program Manager role, the function's first dedicated to this discipline, will report to the Global Head of Trust and Safety and own launch readiness, regulatory controls, user protections and incident response across both regulated and DeFi operations.
What you'll do
- Own launch readiness for new products, markets and jurisdictions across the exchange and DeFi, including tiering each launch, running go or no-go decisions and securing written approval from Legal, Compliance and Trust and Safety before major releases
- Transform regulatory obligations and commitments into concrete controls, procedures and documented evidence ready for regulator inquiries or examinations
- Integrate risk review and user protection requirements into product specifications from the earliest stages, including defining what the launch can and cannot publicly claim
- Launch and monitor user protection features such as self-exclusion, deposit limits, behavioral monitoring and trusted-contact tools from scoping through adoption
- Manage DeFi restriction programs including self-certification and close-only protocols from flagging through enforcement
- Lead the program dimension of Trust and Safety incidents, build the crisis playbook with Compliance, Customer Experience, Legal and Communications, and conduct regular drills
- Move partners and vendors from pilot phase to contract with agreed success measures established upfront
- Own the program's metrics, including quarterly goals, weekly Trust and Safety updates and business reviews
- Build and manage the Trust and Safety intake process for cross-functional partner teams
What you'll bring
- At least six years in program or technical program management, including three or more years in trust and safety, risk, integrity, responsible gaming, fraud or compliance at a regulated platform
- Demonstrated experience running a launch risk-review process that product teams actually used, with specific launches you stopped or modified
- Experience leading or running the program side of a live incident involving user harm or regulatory exposure
- Track record preparing evidence for regulators, auditors or exams and converting regulatory obligations into operational controls or procedures
- Experience building a program function at a company that lacked one
- Experience shepherding vendors or partners from pilot to contract
- Ability to pull and reconcile your own data using SQL or equivalent tools
- Skill writing concise, dated decision documents with clear ownership on every line
- Comfort operating as the sole program person within your function
Nice to have
- CFTC, NFA or exchange experience
