Sanctions Advisory Specialist

Binance operates the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and user base, serving over 300 million people across 100+ countries. You'll join the Legal & Compliance team as a Sanctions Advisory Specialist, taking on a mid-level role that sits at the heart of how Binance manages regulatory risk in this rapidly evolving space.

In this position, you'll serve as the internal go-to expert on sanctions compliance across Binance's global operations. You'll provide actionable guidance to teams and stakeholders on managing sanctions-related risks, staying ahead of regulatory changes, and embedding controls throughout the business. Your days will involve reviewing and challenging existing processes for identifying and assessing sanctions exposure, monitoring regional regulatory developments, and translating those shifts into practical policy updates. You'll work closely with the Global Head of Sanctions and cross-functional teams to investigate compliance issues, recommend mitigations, and ensure remediation happens promptly and in line with regulations. The role demands someone who can move fast, juggle multiple projects, and communicate complex compliance concepts clearly to people across different functions and geographies.

You bring at least 5 years of hands-on sanctions compliance experience from a global financial institution. You understand banking, payments, or crypto compliance frameworks and controls at a solid level. A BA/BS, JD, or Master's degree is preferred, as is an ACAMS or ACFCS certification. You're a strong problem-solver and stakeholder manager with the ability to work across organizational lines and manage tight deadlines without losing quality. Your drafting, analytical, and communication skills are sharp. You also embody Binance's values and approach work with integrity and purpose.
