Capital Officer

You'll join MoonPay's Executive Office as Capital Officer, based in New York on a hybrid schedule. Your mission is to build and lead the company's capital planning, funding, and liquidity strategy as it scales its financial services capabilities in a fast-moving industry.

What you'll do

• Build MoonPay's capital planning and management framework from the ground up, including forecasting, capital allocation, governance, monitoring, and reporting structures.

• Develop and execute funding and liquidity strategies tailored to different business and market conditions, ensuring the company is prepared for varying scenarios.

• Create robust capital forecasting capabilities that translate business strategy, financial performance, and external market conditions into actionable capital plans.

• Lead stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning to assess how adverse conditions could impact capital and liquidity, then identify appropriate management responses.

• Partner with Finance, Risk, Legal, and senior business leaders to evaluate capital deployment opportunities and optimize how financial resources are allocated across the organization.

• Establish scalable frameworks, governance structures, analytics capabilities, and reporting systems to support an increasingly complex financial services operation.

What you'll bring

• 15+ years in leading financial institutions, with significant hands-on experience in capital management, capital planning, treasury, balance sheet management, funding, and liquidity.

• Deep expertise in capital forecasting, evaluating capital needs, establishing management frameworks, and translating complex analysis into executive decisions.

• Substantial background in funding, liquidity, and balance sheet management across custody, transaction services, payments, or similar complex financial services businesses.

• Proven ability to design and execute stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning that identify vulnerabilities and inform senior-level strategy.

• Builder's mindset combined with strong financial and commercial judgment; the ability to influence senior stakeholders and personally develop sophisticated frameworks in fast-paced, complex environments.

• Salary of 180,000 to 350,000 USD based on experience and location.
