Developer Advocate, Data Platform

Helius is a major developer platform built on Solana, enabling companies like Coinbase, Jupiter, and Phantom to create crypto-powered applications. The company has secured over $34 million in funding from leading venture firms and founders, with a team that has built infrastructure at AWS, Coinbase, Stripe, Google, and Digital Ocean. Helius is establishing a new Developer Relations team and seeks a Developer Advocate to drive adoption of its data platform offerings.

In this role, you'll serve as a public-facing advocate for Helius's data platform, which includes LaserStream, RPC, webhooks, and APIs. You'll focus on helping developers become more productive with Helius products through clear explanations, working examples, and direct support. This is technical marketing where you demonstrate real value by creating content that solves actual problems developers face.

What you'll do

• Create code tutorials, technical articles, and deep dives on building with Solana data infrastructure
• Build demo applications, starter repositories, and SDK examples for LaserStream, RPC, webhooks, and APIs
• Produce video content and step-by-step tutorials, either independently or collaborating with designers for polished output
• Engage actively in Solana developer communities on Discord, Telegram, X, and GitHub to answer questions and unblock builders
• Attend hackathons and conferences to run workshops, evaluate projects, and provide hands-on mentorship
• Communicate product updates and fixes back to the developer community based on feedback collected
• Partner with ecosystem projects, tool creators, and educational organizations
• Track performance metrics including content engagement, adoption rates, and community growth
• Own all developer-focused messaging for the data platform, including customer communications and major feature announcements

What you'll bring

• At least two years of professional experience at a technology company, preferably in developer tools or infrastructure
• Hands-on coding ability and comfort working across multiple formats: writing, building applications, creating SDKs, and producing video
• Strong technical communication skills that translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated technical writing and public speaking ability
• A portfolio of previous work you can share: tutorials, videos, repositories, conference talks, or technical content
• Active presence in developer communities with genuine relationships and personal credibility
• Self-directed approach and ownership mentality; you identify gaps and propose solutions rather than waiting for direction
• Willingness to travel for the global Solana ecosystem including conferences and hackathons

Nice to have

• Experience building applications on Solana or deep familiarity with its data model, accounts, transactions, and RPC systems
• Prior developer advocacy or technical content roles at infrastructure or developer tools companies
• Existing audience and reputation within Solana or crypto developer communities
• Knowledge of real-time data systems including streaming, WebSockets at scale, or gRPC
• Contributions to open source Solana tooling projects
