You'll join as Expansion Manager for Cote d'Ivoire, driving adoption of Tether's suite of products and services across the country and broader Francophone region. This role sits at the heart of market entry strategy, where you'll identify new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and navigate the regulatory environment. You'll work closely with internal teams to build and execute go-to-market strategies from the ground up.
What you'll do
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in Cote d'Ivoire and across Francophone markets, focusing on banks, fintechs, and large corporates as integration partners
- Design and roll out go-to-market strategies for Tether's products and services, then track KPIs to refine execution
- Conduct market research to spot trends, threats, and growth openings; analyze USDT and fiat flows to inform decisions
- Build and maintain relationships with central banks, regulators, government agencies, and industry bodies; represent Tether at key meetings and events
- Develop a pipeline of USDT integration opportunities across payment ecosystems in the region
- Participate in fintech conferences, meetups, and community engagement to build brand presence
What you'll bring
- 7 to 10 years in cross-border settlements, mobile money, payment infrastructure, or related fields (telecom or banking experience valued)
- Deep understanding of Francophone markets, regulations, and culture in blockchain, fintech, finance, remittances, and payments
- Existing relationships with BCEAO and national central banks across WAEMU
- Fluent in English and French (native French preferred); degree in Business, Management, or Finance (MBA a plus)
- Proven ability to build strategic partnerships, monitor KPIs, and drive business growth
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; comfortable operating independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset and project management experience; willingness to travel frequently locally and internationally
