Product Designer, AI-Native Products (Staff-Level / L6)

You'll join Synthesia as a Staff-level Product Designer (L6) leading design for Sessions, a new class of AI-native products where employees learn through interactive conversations, companies conduct surveys at scale, and artificial intelligence becomes an active participant in work rather than just a background tool. This represents a fundamental shift for the platform, moving from content creation into workforce development and making sophisticated AI capabilities feel natural and trustworthy for everyday users.

What you'll do

• Own major AI-native product bets end-to-end, from defining the problem through shipping outcomes and continuous iteration.

• Establish and communicate the design vision for Sessions, ensuring coherence across related product areas and influencing adjacent surfaces.

• Work closely with Product and Engineering leaders to define standards for quality, interaction patterns, and success metrics, then drive execution toward those benchmarks.

• Design real-time conversational avatar experiences that engage users naturally and feel authentic rather than mechanical.

• Create interaction models for AI-driven workflows that balance user control, system transparency, and trust without introducing overwhelming complexity.

• Prototype and test novel conversational and agentic interaction patterns rapidly, determining when high-fidelity design validation matters most.

• Raise craft standards across interaction design, visual polish, systems thinking, and consistency throughout AI-native experiences.

What you'll bring

• Substantial experience designing complex, high-traffic product surfaces, particularly including AI-native features, agentic systems, conversational interfaces, or products where the system performs meaningful autonomous actions.

• Strong foundation in interaction and visual design with a proven track record shipping experiences that measurably enhance the product.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving problem spaces by translating unclear situations into clear direction without waiting for perfect information.

• Systems thinking that connects AI capabilities, model limitations, and product architecture to what's actually feasible in the user experience.

• Demonstrated expertise designing workflows where user trust, transparency, and control take center stage, helping people feel confident in AI-driven outputs.

• Track record tackling novel problems in emerging product categories, from early-stage bets through scaled execution.

• Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to influence product decisions through design leadership.

• Ability to synthesize feedback from users and enterprise customers with high stakes around quality, compliance, and reliability.
