About the role
Baseten powers inference infrastructure for leading AI companies including Cursor, Notion, Abridge, and Writer. The company recently closed a $1.5B Series F funding round and is building the platform that enables engineers to deploy AI models into production at scale. You'll join a rapidly growing organization at the center of the AI infrastructure movement.
The platform Baseten has built sits at a critical juncture in how AI companies operate. As inference workloads have become central to modern AI products, the demand for reliable, flexible infrastructure has grown dramatically. Baseten's technology connects applied AI research with developer tooling, allowing companies to move from experimental models to production systems. The company's customer base reflects this positioning—each customer represents a significant piece of the AI landscape.
We're looking for a Revenue Analyst to establish and scale the financial data infrastructure behind Baseten's revenue and usage metrics. This position bridges Finance and Revenue Operations, requiring you to synthesize contract terms, pricing structures, product usage data, billing information, and invoices into a unified and trustworthy view of customer revenue. You'll partner with Finance Systems to translate new pricing models and contract structures into sustainable data pipelines and reporting systems.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain production-quality dbt models and dashboards that integrate Salesforce, CPQ systems, contract databases, Orb metering platforms, and product usage data.
- Develop canonical data marts representing customers, products, contract terms, subscriptions, prepaid credits, billable usage and invoices.
- Reconcile metered usage against billed revenue, invoice line items and contractual obligations to identify and resolve discrepancies before they impact customers or financial reporting.
- Collaborate with Finance and Revenue Operations to establish and govern metrics for bookings, committed contracts, consumption, billed revenue, ARR, NDR and expansion rates.
- Provide variance analysis and trend insights for monthly financial closes, revenue forecasts and operating reviews.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of metric definitions, data lineage, ownership and exception handling protocols.
- Implement tests and version control procedures to ensure revenue data integrity as upstream systems evolve.
What you'll bring
- At least 5 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, revenue analytics, data analysis or similar roles, ideally within high-growth B2B environments.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and dbt, demonstrated through building production models with comprehensive testing, documentation and lineage tracking in cloud data warehouses.
- Direct experience implementing usage-based billing and metering systems like Orb and payment platforms like Stripe.
- Hands-on expertise modeling consumption-based pricing structures including minimum commitments, prepaid credits, tiered pricing, overage fees, custom rate cards and contract amendments.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce and CPQ data schemas including products, price books, quotes, orders, amendments and renewal cycles.
- Proficiency building dashboards and enabling self-serve analytics using tools such as Sigma or Hex.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of model inference frameworks, model serving infrastructure, training workflows and the operational metrics that influence performance and costs.
- Experience with time-series forecasting using ARIMA, Prophet or comparable methodologies, including backtesting and scenario planning.
- Background in experimental design, statistical testing and power analysis.
- Experience within AI infrastructure, developer platforms or inference services.
What they offer
- Competitive salary with meaningful equity participation.
- 100% coverage of medical, dental and vision insurance for employee and family members (U.S. only).
- Flexible paid time off plus company-wide Winter Break when offices close from December 24 through January 1.
- Paid parental leave and fertility and family-building support through Carrot.
- Company-facilitated 401(k) retirement plans (U.S. only).
Pay, location & hours
$185K–240K / year. Based in San Francisco (Hybrid).
