Senior Data Scientist

The Engineering team is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to anchor analytics across Ripple's core product and business domains. You'll own the data strategy for one or more major areas—Payments, Stablecoin, or Custody—building the measurement frameworks and analytical tools that drive product decisions and shape strategic roadmaps.

What you'll do

• Lead data science for assigned product or business domains, tackling complex analytical problems with methodological rigor and delivering measurable impact on decisions.

• Work closely with product and business stakeholders to frame the right questions, design measurement strategies, and define what success looks like for key initiatives.

• Build reusable scientific frameworks: product and network health metrics, causal inference models, and forecasting systems that work across institutional and developer-facing surfaces.

• Use AI and LLMs to scale analytics—automating routine analysis, creating agentic workflows for insight generation, and making data more accessible to non-technical partners.

• Drive evidence-based analysis of growth patterns across customers, geographic corridors and on-chain activity, isolating the causal drivers behind adoption and volume trends.

• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Mentor junior data scientists and raise the analytical bar across the function through strong modeling and best practices.

What you'll bring

• 7+ years in data science or quantitative analysis with demonstrated impact on product and business outcomes.

• Deep experience as a trusted data science partner to cross-functional teams, influencing roadmap decisions and helping leaders make data-driven calls.

• Proven ability to design measurement and analytics frameworks that teams adopt and build on.

• Hands-on proficiency applying AI to analytics workflows, including agentic analysis and natural-language data interfaces.

• Strong foundation in experimentation design, causal inference, forecasting and statistical modeling.

• Fluent in Python or R, proficient in SQL, and experienced with large-scale data platforms like Databricks.

• Excellent communication skills; able to distill technical complexity into accessible insights for executives.

Nice to have

• Background in fintech, payments, crypto or blockchain data analysis.

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative discipline.
