Senior DevOps Engineer, Canada

Founded in 2016, the company is building infrastructure for mainstream crypto adoption through a foundation of security, privacy, and compliance. Their Engineering team develops software for various ventures—bootstrapped projects adjacent to the core business that move quickly with lean teams.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Canada, you'll join a collaborative engineering group tackling complex infrastructure challenges. You'll work across multiple functions in the organization, contributing at every stage from product ideation through launch. The role is hybrid, offering flexibility in how you work while staying connected to colleagues across APAC and EMEA time zones.

Your responsibilities will include

• Architect and implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices, particularly Terraform
• Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters alongside CI/CD pipelines at enterprise scale
• Build tools for application and performance monitoring that keep systems reliable
• Develop disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure business continuity
• Automate operational processes and workflows to reduce manual work
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions

What you'll bring

• 4+ years of hands-on DevOps and AWS experience
• Strong proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline development for large applications
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience with logging systems including Fluentbit or Loki
• Solid foundation in Linux and networking concepts
• Coding ability—you write maintainable, production-ready code
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across distributed teams

Nice to have

• Background maintaining high-availability, low-latency crypto exchange systems
• GitOps experience with ArgoCD
• On-premise infrastructure management
