Site Reliability Engineer

Flowdesk is building infrastructure for the next generation of global finance, operating at the intersection of traditional finance, blockchain technology, and algorithmic trading. Since its founding in 2020, the company has grown into a full-service digital asset trading and technology firm serving institutions, exchanges, and token issuers worldwide. Flowdesk provides liquidity solutions, OTC trading, and market infrastructure that connect digital assets to global markets with institutional-grade precision and scale.

The Secure Ecosystem team at Flowdesk is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their infrastructure operations based in Singapore. You will report to the Head of Infrastructure and work closely with Engineering, Trading, and Data teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of Flowdesk's global high-frequency trading platform.

What you'll do

• Maintain and optimize critical infrastructures including cloud environments, data pipelines, and core trading systems while monitoring network performance to minimize downtime

• Develop and manage in-house Kubernetes operators, handle containerized workload orchestration, and ensure smooth deployments across your infrastructure

• Improve and expand CI/CD systems using FluxCD and Github Actions, implement robust monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, and advance DevOps practices and observability

• Participate in day-to-day operational activities and incident management to support the company's essential systems

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical needs, provide infrastructure support, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Identify opportunities for performance improvements and bring innovative ideas to enhance reliability and efficiency across the platform

What you'll bring

• Deep proficiency with bare metal deployments, cloud architectures including AWS and GCP, network configurations, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes architecture and strong knowledge of network infrastructure administration, particularly for ultra-low latency setups

• Hands-on expertise with monitoring solutions including Prometheus and Grafana, with experience implementing proactive detection systems

• Strong problem-solving approach combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment

• Proficiency coding in languages such as Golang, Rust, or Python for infrastructure automation and tooling

Nice to have

• Experience with trading, high-frequency trading environments, or ultra-low latency systems and network optimization

• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, FinOps and cost optimization strategies, or performance tuning in high-throughput environments

• Background with CI/CD pipelines and FluxCD
