Senior / Staff AI Platform Engineer

As a Senior or Staff AI Platform Engineer on Suno's Engineering team, you'll own the core infrastructure that enables other engineering teams across the company to build and ship agent features at speed. Your work will become the foundation that teams depend on: you'll design and implement the APIs and SDKs that developers use daily, build the evaluation and observability systems they rely on, and ensure the agent runtime remains reliable and cost-efficient at scale. What you'll do

• Design and build APIs and SDKs that enable other engineering teams to develop agent features efficiently.

• Develop evaluation infrastructure including runners, results storage, dashboards and tooling to help teams measure performance and guide development decisions.

• Implement comprehensive end-to-end tracing and observability across services, allowing full visibility from user input through audio generation.

• Manage model provider routing, fallback strategies, rate limiting and cost controls to optimize performance and budget.

• Partner with engineering teams across Suno to onboard them onto the platform, providing documentation and hands-on support to drive adoption.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to ensure the agent runtime maintains reliability and handles scale as demand grows.

What you'll bring

• Four to six years of production experience building and scaling backend or platform systems, in any programming language.

• Proven track record working on teams that support other developers, including shipping APIs, SDKs or platforms that other teams adopted.

• Hands-on experience building production LLM or agent systems, whether for external users or internal teams.

• Deep expertise in distributed systems and observability, with experience implementing tracing across multiple services.

• Comfort engaging with internal customers: scoping requirements with partner teams, driving adoption and navigating ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience building evaluation or tracing products.

• Background running LLM gateways or model routing infrastructure.

• Experience writing SDKs adopted by other teams.

• Production experience with Python backends.
