About the role
Rain is a global stablecoin payments platform serving enterprises, neobanks, platforms, developers, and AI agents. Rain's infrastructure team is small but highly impactful, responsible for building the technical foundation that powers all company products and services. The team works on visible, mission-critical systems where decisions directly influence the company's direction and the broader industry. You'll collaborate closely with engineers across the organization to solve real problems in financial infrastructure, security architecture, and deployment processes.
What you'll do
- Shape and execute the technical infrastructure roadmap for a hypergrowth fintech platform
- Manage and optimize cloud environments across GCP and AWS to support global scale
- Design and build infrastructure capable of handling millions of end users and millions of smart contracts across multiple blockchains
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and similar tools to enable fast, reliable deployments
- Write automation in shell scripts and Terraform to scale systems and reduce manual work
- Improve infrastructure performance and reliability by collaborating with engineering teams across the company
- Implement automated security controls and compliance processes protecting sensitive financial data
What you'll bring
- Three years of hands-on experience building and managing infrastructure on Google Cloud
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
- Demonstrated ability to script in shell and create CI/CD workflows
- Experience deploying and managing containerized services using Docker
- Proven success designing and implementing automation workflows in production environments
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Knowledge of managing production systems at scale in cloud environments
Nice to have
- Kubernetes, GKE, and Helm expertise
- Cloud networking experience including VPCs, firewalls, load balancers, and SSL/mTLS
- Familiarity with PCI compliance or zero-trust security architectures
- Background as a TypeScript, Node.js, or Golang developer or DevOps engineer

Pay, location & hours
$170K–225K / year. Fully remote, open to applicants in any country.
