$214K–284K / year

About the role

Lambda operates at the forefront of AI cloud infrastructure, serving tens of thousands of customers from research labs to enterprises and hyperscalers. With over 500 employees and backing from leading investors including NVIDIA, ARK Invest, and Gradient Ventures, Lambda is building the foundational compute layer for artificial intelligence. The company's vision is to make computing as accessible as electricity and democratize access to superintelligence.

As an AI infrastructure leader, Lambda is in a period of rapid expansion driven by surging demand for GPU capacity and data center resources. The company is scaling beyond its initial deployments and needs experienced program managers to orchestrate complex, concurrent data center builds across multiple sites.

You will join Lambda's Data Center Business as a Technical Program Manager responsible for owning the complete delivery program for new data center sites. From the moment Real Estate hands off a selected location through construction, commissioning, and operational readiness, you are the central point of accountability for milestones, risks, and dependencies. You will coordinate across internal teams and external partners including general contractors, design firms, utilities, and equipment vendors to execute site work, utilities, power delivery, mechanical and electrical systems, controls, white space preparation, inspections, and commissioning activities.

What you'll do

  • Own the integrated schedule spanning site handoff through Operations turnover, decompose builds into distinct workstreams with assigned owners and clear milestones, and actively manage the critical path and timeline acceleration.
  • Drive the complete delivery sequence from rack requirements through engineering criteria, design documentation, permitting, construction, testing, and handover for megawatt-scale, high-density capacity including liquid-cooled systems.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across Real Estate, Energy and Utilities, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, Commissioning, Operations, Security, Finance, and Legal teams to align on requirements and deliverables.
  • Maintain risk registers, dependency logs, decision trackers, and schedule variance reports; surface permitting, utility, design, procurement, and commissioning risks ahead of critical dates.
  • Escalate issues with complete information: status, baseline dates, forecast dates, variance, impact, responsible party, and mitigation options.
  • Hold external partners accountable to contractual milestones and commercial commitments while sustaining productive working relationships.
  • Define and verify handover criteria to ensure white space, power, cooling, controls, documentation, and access meet Network Deployment standards before Operations takeover.
  • Build repeatable playbooks, governance structures, and lessons-learned processes that enable the organization to run multiple concurrent deployments efficiently.
  • Travel approximately 40% to sites to validate progress and strengthen partner relationships.

What you'll bring

  • Seven or more years of experience in data center delivery, infrastructure program management, mission-critical facilities, or large capital projects.
  • A track record of delivering ground-up data centers or comparable mission-critical industrial, semiconductor, or energy facilities, ideally managing multiple sites on accelerated schedules.
  • Deep knowledge of the complete lifecycle including site handoff, permitting, design, utilities, procurement, construction, MEP systems, controls, commissioning, and operational readiness.
  • Demonstrated skill running integrated schedules, managing critical path dependencies, maintaining change control, and executing with rigor under schedule pressure.
  • Ability to understand technical tradeoffs, identify infrastructure risks, ask precise technical questions, and escalate issues appropriately while recognizing your role does not include design authority.
  • Proven capability to align vendors, partners, and engineering teams around shared objectives and connect physical infrastructure delivery with network and security functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide clear status reporting to executives when working with incomplete information.

Nice to have

  • Experience with hyperscale, AI or GPU-focused, cloud region, or high-density compute infrastructure deployments.
  • Familiarity with utility interconnection, substation power systems, medium and high voltage distribution, and liquid cooling technology.
  • Prior engagement with colocation providers, general contractors, engineering-procurement-construction firms, commissioning agents, and permitting authorities.
  • Professional certifications in project management, construction management, engineering, or project controls.

What they offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity to shape the playbooks and governance for a rapidly scaling data center program supporting AI infrastructure growth.
