AI Harness Engineer (100% Remote, Worldwide)

We're hiring an AI Harness Engineer to join our remote engineering team and help build the next generation of local AI integration. In this role, you'll work on QVAC and develop the P2P infrastructure that lets AI assistants scale without limits. You're solving the hard problems of connecting people to intelligent systems that feel natural and reliable.

What you'll do

• Ship features and fixes with emphasis on performance, uptime, and user experience
• Build new tools and modules that expand AI capabilities across different model sizes and architectures
• Develop and refine P2P technology for local AI deployment
• Write and maintain clean, modular code with strong testing practices and code reviews
• Create evals and test infrastructure designed for non-deterministic AI systems
• Design systems that handle real-world failures: network partitions, model errors, timeouts, and retries

What you'll bring

• 5+ years shipping production software with substantial experience in P2P systems, AI/LLM tooling, or both
• Hands-on work building agent harnesses, including tool calling, agent loops, context management, and structured outputs
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, especially modeling complex state in sync protocols and agent loops
• Proven ability to debug and test thoroughly, with a hacker's mindset that loves experimenting
• Experience with P2P, networking, or AI tooling open-source projects
• Comfort in globally distributed, remote teams with solid communication habits

Nice to have

• Deep familiarity with distributed systems architecture
• Background in designing systems resilient to unpredictable conditions

You'll work entirely remote, worldwide. This is a full-time position where you'll partner with a globally distributed team pushing the boundaries of accessible, intelligent technology.
