Backend Engineer - Wallets (100% Remote Worldwide)

This Backend Engineer role on the Wallets team offers the chance to architect and maintain critical financial infrastructure serving hundreds of millions of users worldwide. You'll work on systems that handle real-time transactions, token transfers across multiple blockchains, and integrations with exchanges, payment processors, and other financial platforms. The position is fully remote with no geographic restrictions.

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and JavaScript that handle high transaction volumes while maintaining real-time responsiveness
• Build microservices-based architectures that support the platform's continued growth and evolving user demands
• Implement and maintain database solutions including MySQL and MongoDB to reliably store and retrieve financial data
• Establish and enforce security best practices across all backend processes to protect user assets and sensitive information
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver innovative solutions and navigate the technical challenges of a complex, global financial platform
• Learn and integrate emerging technologies as the blockchain and fintech landscape evolves
• Work with peer-to-peer technologies fundamental to decentralized finance systems

What you'll bring

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript for backend development
