Business Development Specialist

The Payment Business Unit at Bybit is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join its team on a remote basis, supporting expansion efforts focused on Latin America. This is an internship-level position based entirely on commission compensation. You will be instrumental in growing Bybit Pay's merchant network and strengthening payment partnerships across key regional corridors.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the growth pipeline for Bybit Pay in your assigned region, owning the full development cycle from market research through partnership activation.

• Identify, pitch, and acquire merchants, payment service providers, payment gateways, fintech platforms, Web3 projects, and other strategic partners to drive channel growth.

• Execute end-to-end business development activities including market mapping, lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and go-live support.

• Collaborate with Product, Card, Fiat Channels, Compliance, and Marketing teams to launch and scale payment use cases and maximize partner value.

• Develop market-entry strategies targeting high-potential payment corridors for crypto-to-fiat and fiat-to-crypto transactions.

• Gather competitive intelligence and partner feedback to inform product strategy and market positioning.

• Represent Bybit at industry conferences, ecosystem events, and partnership meetings to strengthen brand presence and build relationships.

What you'll bring

• At least one year of professional experience in payments, fintech, payment service provider operations, merchant acquisition, or cryptocurrency business development.

• Significant international work or study experience demonstrating cross-cultural competency and global mindset.

• Deep knowledge of local payment infrastructure, fiat-to-crypto conversion mechanics, card programs, and merchant requirements in your target market.

• Proven ability to drive regional growth initiatives or successfully launch payment products in multiple markets.

• Independent work style with strong ownership mentality suited to fast-paced, high-autonomy environments.

• Native fluency in a Latin American language combined with excellent English proficiency.

• Established professional network within fintech, Web3, payments infrastructure, or merchant ecosystems.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance considerations for payments and cross-border transactions.

• Prior exposure to remote team environments and distributed workflows.

• Direct experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, payment gateways, or card program operations.
