Business Development Manager

Token2049 is the world's largest cryptocurrency conference, connecting the industry's most influential founders, executives, investors, and institutions. The Commercial team is expanding and looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sponsorship and partnership revenue. You'll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through closing deals with crypto, tech, and AI companies.

Your main responsibilities

Source and pitch sponsorship and partnership deals across the crypto, tech, AI and institutional finance sectors. Build a pipeline of prospects and manage relationships from first contact to signature. Lead commercial conversations with C-suite executives, marketing leaders and business decision-makers, understanding their goals and matching them to relevant activation opportunities at Token2049. Nurture existing sponsor accounts for renewals and upsell potential. Collaborate across marketing, operations, finance and legal teams to execute partnerships smoothly. Track industry developments and identify emerging sponsorship prospects. Own your revenue targets and directly impact the conference's commercial growth.

We're looking for someone with proven success in business development, sales, sponsorship or partnership roles. You need strong closing ability, excellent negotiation and presentation skills, and the organisational capacity to juggle multiple opportunities without losing momentum. You're self-directed, ambitious and comfortable owning outcomes. A genuine interest in crypto, tech or AI isn't optional—it matters. Previous experience selling event sponsorships, media packages, SaaS or B2B solutions is valuable. Ideally you already have relationships in the crypto or tech world that you can leverage.

This is a full-time position based in Hong Kong, Singapore or Dubai, in a high-energy environment where execution speed counts. You'll work in a fast-moving commercial team where your contributions directly shape Token2049's success.
