Bybit EU is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to establish and lead all operational functions serving European customers. Reporting directly to the EU Group CEO, you will be the single point of accountability for end-to-end operational performance, customer experience and efficiency across the region. This executive role demands deep expertise in regulated financial services operations combined with the ability to build scalable systems that meet both business growth targets and stringent regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute the European operational strategy aligned with regulatory requirements and business objectives, overseeing day-to-day operations across all EU entities while managing operational budgets, KPIs and resource allocation

• Lead AML and anti-financial crime operations, including KYC/KYB, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and investigations while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations in partnership with Compliance and Risk teams

• Direct European customer service operations across retail, VIP and institutional segments, establishing service standards and KPIs while driving customer satisfaction and complaint resolution

• Manage payment operations including fiat deposits, withdrawals, transaction processing, reconciliation and settlement, ensuring reliable services across banking partners and payment providers while supporting regulated EMI payment services

• Oversee MiFID-related operations and European trading desk activities, including trade execution processes, order management, reconciliation and settlement in coordination with Product, Trading and Compliance teams

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with banks, payment providers, custodians and outsourced service partners, managing partner performance and third-party operational risks

• Establish operational governance frameworks, internal controls and business continuity protocols ensuring compliance with MiCA, MiFID II, AML and DORA regulations

What you'll bring

• Extensive executive leadership experience in regulated financial services operations, with proven ability to build and scale operational teams across multiple jurisdictions

• Deep understanding of European regulatory requirements including MiCA, MiFID II, AML/AFC and DORA, with demonstrated experience navigating complex compliance landscapes

• Strong background in payment operations, trading operations or financial crime prevention within highly regulated environments

• Track record of driving operational efficiency, process automation and cost reduction while maintaining service quality and risk management

• Collaborative leadership approach with ability to work effectively across Compliance, Risk, Finance, Technology and Product teams to achieve organizational objectives

• Strategic mindset combined with operational excellence and attention to detail in managing complex, multi-functional teams and partner ecosystems

Nice to have

• Experience in cryptocurrency, blockchain or digital asset services industries

• Familiarity with regulated payment services or EMI operations
