Senior Data Scientist

The Engineering team is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead analytics efforts across Ripple's product and business portfolio. You'll be the analytical backbone for major product areas—Payments, Stablecoin, or Custody—helping leadership make decisions grounded in rigorous data and insight.

What you'll do

• Own data science leadership for one or more product or business areas, applying strong methodology to the most complex analytical problems in your domain.

• Work closely with product and business leads to inform roadmap decisions, define what success looks like, and establish measurement strategies.

• Build reusable scientific frameworks: product and network health metrics, causal inference models, and forecasting systems that work across institutional and developer channels.

• Leverage AI and LLMs to scale your analytics work—automating routine analysis, building agentic workflows for insight generation, and making data more accessible to non-technical partners.

• Analyze growth patterns across customers, payment corridors, and on-chain activity to uncover the causal drivers behind adoption and volume.

• Create and communicate key metrics that guide your teams and leadership, packaging complex findings into clear narratives for senior stakeholders.

• Mentor other data scientists and model strong analytical practice across the function.

What you'll bring

• 7+ years working in data science or quantitative analysis with proven impact on product and business outcomes.

• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to shape roadmaps and inform strategic decisions.

• Portfolio demonstrating design of analytics and measurement frameworks that teams have adopted and built upon.

• Hands-on work applying AI to analytics—agentic analysis, AI-assisted insight generation, natural language interfaces to data.

• Deep expertise in experimentation design, causal inference, forecasting, and statistical modeling.

• Strong programming in Python or R, SQL fluency, and experience with large-scale data platforms like Databricks.

• Excellent communication: translating technical complexity into clear insights for executives.

Nice to have

• Background in FinTech, payments, crypto, or blockchain data.

• Advanced degree (MS, PhD) in a quantitative discipline.
