Full Stack Engineer, Blockchain

The R&D team in London is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build the systems that power on-chain access for some of the world's largest financial institutions and crypto organizations.

About the Role

The FinApps Access team designs the backbone of on-chain connectivity. You'll work on mission-critical infrastructure that routes, protects, and optimizes transactions across dozens of blockchain networks at scale. This means building systems that handle billions of dollars flowing through decentralized networks every day.

Your day-to-day work will include

• Designing and building scalable backend services that handle high-volume on-chain transaction flows across EVM chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base) and non-EVM networks like Solana, TON, and Tron.

• Owning end-to-end development of backend components and APIs—from architecture through production deployment.

• Integrating with DeFi protocols, on-chain data sources, and blockchain nodes across multiple ecosystems.

• Optimizing production systems for performance, reliability, and security to reduce latency and increase throughput.

• Researching emerging blockchain technologies and protocols to keep the platform at the cutting edge.

• Collaborating with product, protocol research, and platform engineering teams to deliver on time.

• Taking full ownership of features from inception to scaled delivery.

What We're Looking For

You have 7+ years as a Backend or Full Stack Engineer and hold a B.Sc. or equivalent. Blockchain and Web3 experience is essential—you understand transaction lifecycles, consensus mechanisms, smart contract interactions, and on-chain data deeply.

You've worked across multiple blockchain ecosystems and are proficient in Node.js and TypeScript. You know how to design and operate microservices in production CI/CD environments, understand cryptography and blockchain security principles, and have hands-on experience with Web3 tooling like ethers.js, viem, web3.js, or Solana web3.js.

Familiarity with DeFi protocols—AMMs, lending markets, bridging infrastructure, or on-chain routing—gives you an edge. Full stack experience with React and frontend development is a nice to have.

You think in systems and care about correctness, reliability, and scale. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, drive technical decisions with limited oversight, and have genuine curiosity about how blockchain protocols work. You thrive shipping quickly while maintaining code quality and communicate clearly across engineering, product, and research teams.
