Head of Compliance Product

As Head of Compliance Product, you will lead Elliptic's compliance product portfolio and shape how it evolves in an AI-driven future. This is a player-coach role where you will oversee a team of product managers while personally owning some of the most complex problems on the roadmap. You report to the VP of Product and will drive both the vision for core compliance tools and the company's agentic compliance program—AI capabilities designed to make compliance work faster, more accurate and fully explainable.

What you'll do

• Set vision, strategy and roadmap for the compliance portfolio, defining how these products transform as AI reshapes the work compliance teams do every day.

• Lead product development for agentic AI capabilities that accelerate compliance work while maintaining auditability and transparency from the ground up.

• Build, coach and grow a team of product managers. Hire strong talent, develop people intentionally, and model how modern product management works in an AI-augmented environment.

• Maintain deep customer engagement through design partnerships, analyst observation, product instrumentation and internal testing to convert market signals into clear product direction.

• Make ruthless prioritization calls. Sequence zero-to-one bets against the needs of products customers depend on today, with transparent reasoning.

• Execute with rigor and velocity. Own outcomes rather than shipping dates, and use AI to help your team learn and ship faster in a domain where quality carries real weight.

What you'll bring

• 10+ years building software products, including a proven track record leading and developing product managers who perform better because of your mentorship.

• A genuine zero-to-one background: taking an ambiguous problem in a complex domain from conception to a product real users rely on.

• Deep expertise in financial crime compliance from the product side—transaction monitoring, screening, KYC/EDD or investigations—built at an exchange, bank, fintech or compliance technology company.

• Working knowledge of crypto and blockchain fundamentals, ideally with deep blockchain analytics experience.

• AI-native approach: AI is embedded in your daily workflow and product building, you have shipped AI or agentic capabilities to production, and you raise AI capability in the teams around you.

• Strong executional discipline: you break complex problems into shippable steps, obsess over quality details and reliably deliver work to completion.

• High self-sufficiency and comfort with ambiguity. You identify high-value opportunities unprompted, create clarity without waiting for it, and own a broad scope while the roadmap is still forming.

• Systems thinking: you identify repeatable patterns behind individual fixes and build leverage so each solved problem makes the whole team permanently faster.

• Data-informed decision making: you instrument what you ship, argue from evidence and adapt when data contradicts your assumptions.

• Judgment under uncertainty. You know which decisions to make quickly and which to hold open when precedent does not exist.

• Comfort operating in regulated, high-stakes environments where trust, explainability and defensibility are core features, not add-ons.
