What You'll Do

• Own the full technical roadmap and ensure every engineering effort ties directly to business results. Ship features that matter, kill things that don't.

• Lead and scale the engineering team while maintaining a bias toward speed, iteration, and treating unnecessary complexity as a cost to eliminate.

• Dive into the hard problems: automated vetting systems, intelligent matching at scale, and demand-side bottlenecks. Identify where you can get real leverage.

• Make the tough calls on what gets built, what gets deprioritized, and what gets cut entirely.

• Work closely with the founder and product team to define success criteria before engineering begins.

• Set the tone for the engineering culture: high ownership, high velocity, minimal bureaucracy.

What You'll Bring

• Product and business sense. You think in terms of outcomes, not output.

• Comfort with modern technical stacks and practical experience with AI and ML tooling.

• A track record leading engineering teams of 5 to 30-plus people at startups or high-growth companies.

• Experience working in distributed, asynchronous environments.

• A first-principles mindset and a real bias toward action.

• An obsession with simplicity as a design principle.
