Market Risk Manager

Coinhako is a cryptocurrency and digital assets exchange platform serving customers across Asia. Founded to democratize access to digital finance, the company operates a regulated trading and investment platform offering spot trading, derivatives, and yield products. As the Web3 sector continues expanding rapidly, Coinhako is building out its risk infrastructure to support secure, compliant growth across multiple product lines.

The Risk Management team at Coinhako is looking for a Market Risk Manager to help strengthen risk oversight across the company's spot trading, derivatives, and yield-based offerings. You'll partner with trading and product teams to identify and manage market risks while building scalable frameworks that support the organization as it grows. This is a full-time position based in Singapore's central business district.

What you'll do

• Oversee market risk across spot and derivatives trading products, monitoring exposure and limit compliance
• Evaluate risks associated with new and existing products, including assessment of pricing, volatility, liquidity, and counterparty considerations
• Build and refine risk frameworks, limits, and monitoring processes to support business operations
• Perform stress testing and scenario analysis to anticipate and quantify potential market downturns
• Work alongside trading, product, and engineering teams to integrate risk controls into product design and operations
• Communicate risk assessments and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decisions

What you'll bring

• Practical experience in market risk, trading risk, or financial risk management
• Solid understanding of spot and derivatives market mechanics
• Familiarity with at least one specialized product area such as options, structured products, or yield-generating instruments
• Capability to evaluate volatility dynamics, liquidity constraints, and counterparty exposure
• Strong analytical capabilities with skill in converting data analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for risk mitigation
• Comfort explaining complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Python or SQL for data analysis
• Background working in cryptocurrency or digital assets
• Knowledge of options pricing or other non-linear product behavior
• Exposure to enterprise risk management frameworks or firm-wide governance processes
• Quantitative training in value-at-risk methods, stress testing, or similar risk modeling techniques
