About the role
Zero Hash is a leading infrastructure platform enabling financial institutions to seamlessly integrate cryptocurrency and stablecoin services. Founded in 2017, the company serves major brands like Morgan Stanley, Stripe, BlackRock, and Franklin Templeton by abstracting technical and regulatory complexity around digital asset trading, payments, and tokenization. The company is seeking a seasoned Vice President to lead its Liquidity and Exchange Services function, overseeing all operations and strategy related to the firm's Central Limit Order Book and Request-for-Quote trading systems.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to executive management with responsibility for Zero Hash's entire liquidity services ecosystem. You will set strategy and execute across multiple interconnected areas, from managing relationships with major liquidity providers and stablecoin issuers to optimizing settlement operations globally. The position requires someone equally comfortable presenting recommendations to the C-suite and diving into detailed spreadsheet analysis, with deep understanding of both traditional and digital asset markets.
What you'll do
- Design and execute liquidity strategies to build deep global markets across both CLOB and RFQ systems, including identifying key trading pairs, developing incentive structures, and scaling services to new jurisdictions and venues.
- Build and maintain relationships with high-volume market makers and liquidity providers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring consistent contributions across trading pairs and jurisdictions.
- Lead operational setup and enhancements for liquidity services globally, including settlement optimization across venues.
- Develop strong working relationships with stablecoin issuers and oversee end-to-end operations for Zero Hash-issued stablecoins and tokenized assets, including distribution partnerships.
- Manage the complete asset listing catalogue, including new asset configuration and coordination across Legal, Compliance, Product, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Monitor liquidity metrics including market depth, order book quality, LP uptime, and trading volume across all venues, generating recurring reports for executives and partners.
- Identify and mitigate liquidity risks related to market volatility, large order executions, and potential LP outages, while ensuring regulatory compliance and AML requirements are met.
What you'll bring
- 12 to 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in exchange operations, liquidity services, or related functions within financial markets.
- 5 to 8+ years in FinTech with direct experience in cryptocurrency or digital assets, preferably at a major crypto exchange; banking or brokerage infrastructure background is highly valued.
- Proven track record building and scaling functions from the ground up, including standing up teams and processes rather than operating within existing structures.
- Strong background in trading, market making, and liquidity management across both traditional financial markets and cryptocurrencies or stablecoins.
- Demonstrated experience driving technology adoption or AI implementation within operating businesses at scale.
- Excellent executive communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite and board-level audiences, combined with sharp analytical capabilities and comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Expertise in market maker and liquidity provider relationship management.
Nice to have
- Experience managing OTC trading operations.
What they offer
- Healthcare coverage with Zero Hash covering approximately 100% of employee premiums plus a portion of spouse and children coverage (U.S. only).
- Vision and dental insurance, equity opportunity, and parental leave after six months.
- WeWork All Access membership, annual work-from-home stipend, and annual learning and development stipend (after six months).
