Blockchain Security Expert - Security Audit Track

CertiK is a leader in blockchain security, founded by computer science professors from Yale and Columbia. The company has protected over $500B in digital assets using formal verification technology and advanced security practices. They're building the foundational security infrastructure that enables safer blockchain ecosystems globally.

This is a full-time remote position within the Blockchain Security Engineering team. You'll be at the center of CertiK's security services, conducting audits and assessments that directly impact some of the world's largest blockchain projects.

What you'll do

• Perform comprehensive security audits across the full spectrum: smart contracts, Web3 protocols, Layer 1/2/3 infrastructure, and decentralized applications. You'll deliver detailed findings and recommendations to clients.

• Conduct detailed manual code reviews in Solidity, Golang, Rust and related languages. You'll hunt for vulnerabilities, logic errors, economic attack vectors, and subtle edge cases that automated tools miss.

• Build and refine threat models that account for economic incentives, technical risks, operational failure modes, and trust assumptions specific to blockchain systems.

• Design security testing strategies including property-based testing and gas analysis. You may engage directly with clients to understand their requirements and communicate findings.

What you'll bring

• A bachelor's degree in security, computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or related field.

• Specialist-level cybersecurity knowledge with hands-on ability to write and deploy smart contracts, set up blockchain infrastructure, and write tests using standard frameworks.

• Deep familiarity with blockchain attack vectors: reentrancy, sandwich attacks, overflow/underflow and similar vulnerabilities.

• The capacity to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Prior hands-on experience performing security audits.

• Target annual compensation of $120,000 to $180,000 for US-based candidates, depending on qualifications.
