Engineering Manager - Control Plane + Distributed Systems

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6 to 8 software engineers building the control plane and distributed systems that power our platform. You'll be based in Hyderabad and report to the Senior Manager of Engineering for Zero Trust Platform Access.

What you'll do

• Lead a team of engineers in developing high-quality, performant, scalable, and secure software across the entire software development lifecycle

• Design and implement distributed systems using technologies like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Druid, and Opensearch that operate at scale with high availability

• Oversee delivery of microservices and distributed solutions that maintain system reliability and support critical cloud operations

• Monitor system performance, diagnose complex issues, and optimize security to keep production systems running smoothly

• Work with product managers and fellow engineering leaders to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes

• Foster a challenge culture by giving and receiving candid feedback to help your team grow

What you'll bring

• 10 or more years of engineering leadership experience, with at least 3 years managing global teams through the complete development lifecycle

• Deep knowledge of distributed software architectures, cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and system monitoring tools

• A foundational understanding of AI and ML technologies and experience applying these to solve problems in your domain

• Proven track record leading teams to deliver complex, highly distributed solutions

• Strong partnership skills with product management to execute on technical vision

• Comfort operating in ambiguity, seeing unclear situations as opportunities to build something meaningful

• A growth mindset and genuine care about your own development and your team's success
