Senior Software Engineer - Mobile (React Native/iOS/Android)

In this role, you will join the Engineering team to develop and maintain the mobile applications that enable retail users to securely manage and transact digital assets. You will take ownership of features across the entire product lifecycle, from initial design through release and beyond, with emphasis on security, performance, and user experience across both iOS and Android platforms.

What you'll do

• Own mobile features end-to-end, managing the journey from design phase through app store release and post-launch monitoring
• Build and enhance applications using React Native with TypeScript, native iOS with Swift, and native Android with Kotlin
• Integrate RESTful APIs while implementing robust offline state management, caching strategies, and error recovery mechanisms
• Write comprehensive tests across unit, integration, and UI testing layers to ensure code quality
• Troubleshoot complex technical problems and debug issues across multiple platforms
• Collaborate independently and effectively within a fast-paced engineering environment

What you'll bring

• Five or more years of professional mobile development experience with at least one shipped application in the App Store or Google Play
• Deep expertise in React Native, native iOS, or native Android development, with willingness to develop proficiency across all three
• Strong grasp of TypeScript and modern JavaScript, or the ability to learn quickly
• Thorough understanding of the mobile development lifecycle from conception to post-release
• Demonstrated experience with RESTful API integration and mobile state management
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and algorithmic thinking skills
• Genuine interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

• Experience implementing mobile security practices such as secure storage, certificate pinning, jailbreak detection, or biometric authentication
• Background designing RESTful APIs
• Previous work within the cryptocurrency or blockchain industry
• Familiarity with digital wallets, cryptographic operations, settlement systems, or trading platforms

• Base salary ranging from 180,000 to 220,000 CAD depending on leveling and location
