About the role

Deepgram is the foundational platform powering the voice AI economy, delivering real-time speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and production-grade voice agent APIs to over 200,000 developers and 1,300+ organizations worldwide. The company has processed more than 50,000 years of audio and transcribed over 1 trillion words, working with enterprise customers including Twilio, Cloudflare, and Jack in the Box. Deepgram recently closed a Series C funding round and operates with an AI-first mindset across all functions, expecting team members to actively experiment with and integrate advanced AI tools into their daily work.

The events and field marketing team at Deepgram drives the company's largest demand generation investment. In this role, you will lead the North America events portfolio for a fast-growing developer platform, reporting to the Director of Demand Gen. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor position with the potential to expand into people management as the function scales.

What you'll do

  • Own the full end-to-end execution of 20+ annual trade shows and conferences across North America, from budget and vendor management to sponsorship logistics and lead capture, including flagship presences at major events like AWS re:Invent and Dreamforce.
  • Partner with regional sales leaders, product marketing, alliances, and demand generation teams to design field programs including executive dinners, roadshows, customer events, and account-based marketing plays against named target accounts.
  • Develop the annual events strategy, calendar, and portfolio plan with marketing leadership, using data on budget allocation, investment tiering, and program mix to determine what to run and what to cut.
  • Co-host events with hyperscaler and voice AI partners such as AWS, Twilio, Five9, and NVIDIA to position Deepgram where their customers already gather.
  • Build and execute brand activations at competitor-heavy venues, from interactive demos to experiential moments that showcase product capabilities.
  • Close the loop on every program through same-day lead logging, fast SLA handoff to Sales, proper SDR routing, and post-event scorecards tied to pipeline and cost per opportunity.
  • Operate as an AI-native marketer: build automation workflows for planning, logistics, communications, and reporting, then scale these playbooks across the team.

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated experience running flagship presences at large-scale trade shows end to end, including contracting, booth design, logistics, staffing, speakers, and lead capture.
  • Ability to own both trade shows and field programs hands-on while treating regional sales leaders as core partners in success.
  • Experience shaping annual event portfolios with data-driven decisions about tiering and investment allocation, not just executing pre-defined plans.
  • Proficiency tying event and field activity to sourced and influenced pipeline in Salesforce, partnering with Marketing Ops on campaign setup, attribution, and lead routing.
  • Comfort analyzing funnel metrics and event ROI to present clear recommendations to executive and sales leadership.
  • Hands-on ability to manage multi-figure program budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and hold agencies accountable for quality and timeline.
  • Proven experience taking creative concepts from initial sketch through fully produced experiences.
  • Comfort flagging risks and opportunities early while keeping diverse stakeholders aligned through clear communication.
  • An AI-first mindset: you actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools and integrate them into your everyday workflows.

Nice to have

  • Seven to ten years of B2B events and field marketing experience or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Track record managing seven-figure annual program budgets.
  • Experience co-marketing events with hyperscalers, especially AWS, including MDF management.
  • Hands-on familiarity with event technology platforms, lead retrieval systems, meeting booking tools, and CRM integrations.

What they offer

  • Fully remote position based in the USA with flexible work expectations aligned to rapid product cycles and AI-driven innovation.
  • Opportunity to grow into people management as the events function expands.
  • Collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives, curiosity, and continuous learning.

Pay, location & hours

$170K–210K / year. Fully remote, open to applicants in USA. Working hours: Americas overlap.
