As an AI company scaling its compute capabilities, Anthropic needs robust infrastructure to train and deploy its systems. This role sits at the intersection of real estate, construction, and AI infrastructure—a critical function for the company's growth trajectory.

You'll join the Compute team as a Senior Data Center Capacity Delivery Manager based in Boston. This is a leadership position where you'll oversee leased and partnered data center capacity projects, working on-site 60% of the time or more. You'll guide project teams through the fastest possible delivery schedule while maintaining construction safety and quality standards, directly shaping how Anthropic secures and activates the infrastructure needed for frontier AI.

What you'll do

• Spend significant time at project sites, leading cross-functional teams including development partners, general contractors, and trades to shape culture, approach, and execution that drives favorable outcomes.

• Validate transaction readiness from Letter of Intent through lease execution, ensuring all predevelopment, planning, technical and business requirements are met before Anthropic commits capital.

• Serve as Anthropic's primary point of contact with landlords and developers post-deal, coordinating internal stakeholders, tracking construction progress, and facilitating information exchange between partners and your organization.

• Represent Anthropic in technical and operational decisions during development, ensuring infrastructure requirements align with business needs while maintaining partnerships.

• Drive handoffs to operational readiness with focus on networking and deployment teams, enabling rapid workload deployment and minimizing time-to-production.

• Prepare regular executive reporting on facility development progress versus plan, supporting capacity planning and strategic decisions.

• Identify and mitigate risks across the delivery lifecycle, proactively addressing blockers that could impact timeline, cost, or technical requirements.

• Develop standardized processes and playbooks for facility delivery to drive continuous improvement as Anthropic expands its infrastructure footprint.

What you'll bring

• 10+ years of high-level site leadership managing data center delivery, construction projects, or infrastructure deployment at scale.

• End-to-end understanding of data center development from entitlements and permitting through planning, supply chain, execution, commissioning, and handover.

• Demonstrated ability to make decisions and guide delivery execution independently, comfortable operating as an active player without relying on external consultation.

• Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to own project outcomes entirely. You thrive when responsible for your own success and create influence through relationships and engagement.

• Ability to work effectively across both blue-collar trades on job sites solving productivity issues and executives at development and contractor partners optimizing commercial structures.

• Strong understanding of data center design and construction as a repeatable, optimizable process you can execute with minimal external playbooks or tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI and ML infrastructure requirements, including high-density power and advanced cooling systems.

• Leadership experience as General Superintendent or Project Manager within a general contractor or engineering-procurement-construction firm on hyperscale data center projects.

• Familiarity with lease negotiations, construction contracts, and real estate development processes, with strategies to shift traditional transaction arrangements toward collaborative delivery-focused agreements.
